Closet Raid and Meet-up!

I decided to pay a visit to Boston and to join the petite ladies for the meet-up very last minute. Despite some travelling bumps along the way, I still had tons of fun getting to hang out with Jean again and meeting Sydney, Vicky and Khatu for first time.
Jean was kind enough to let me crash at her apartment with such last minute notice. I definitely took advantage and excitedly raided her closet. I love all her clothes because everything was nicely fitted and tailored. If I brought a bigger suitcase, I'd have snuck a few pieces home! :P

Here I am with Jean & Sydney. Sydney and I were bed mates for the short weekend! She was super sweet and kind in person.

Here we are at Shabu with fellow petite bloggers and readers.

Sydney, Jean, me, Khatu & Vicky having brunch. I actually really love oysters. Jean introduced me to it last time I visited Boston. I didn't have any because it was way too early in the morning for raw seafood. I'm kind of regretting it now. LoL.

How To Get Rid Of Brassy Hair

My hair was getting super brassy! I hated it! I did a little research and decided to tone my own hair instead of going to the salon which will cost me a fortune. I had these ugly orange ends and discovered that I need a blue/purple toner to neutralize that color.

What I used:
2 parts: Ion Sensitive Scalp Developer 20 Volume
1 part: Wella Charm Color Toner #15 (Silver Lady)
The direction said you can leave it in your hair for up to 30mins, but I only did 10mins because I was scared it was going to turn my hair grey. Of course it didn't and took out the orange/brassiness out of my hair. I'm going to leave in longer next time for an even an ashier look.
Yay!

My Signature Fragrances from Jo Malone

I wanted to share with you guys my favorite fragrances of all time that I have been wearing for the last 6 years. I actually own a lot of Jo Malone fragrances, but below are my 3 favorites and staples! All the fragrances are really unique and I have never smelled anything like it before. They are really light and just so easy to wear.

Depending on your mood, you can wear them on their own or you mix them together. For example, for a fruit and floral mix you can wear the nectarine honey blossom and the orange blossom together.

I also have never gotten so many compliments before, let me recount them.

1. I was in an elevator with this hot doctor and he said, wow you smell really good! I was thinking to myself, yeah…sure…okay…right…you’re totally hitting on me.
2. I was at a bar and this girl was like, what is that fragrance you’re wearing. It smells so good! I’m thinking to myself, okay total lesbian.
3. I was at Peet’s coffee and these 2 gay guys were like, what are you wearing. It’s smells like springtime. Okay, so they are not hitting on me obviously.
4. Girl at the coffee shop was like, that is nectarine honey blossom you’re wearing from Jo Malone!
5. My little cousins told me that they know when I’m in the house because it smells so good.

So I have concluded that nobody was hitting on me at all. LoL! They really just like my perfume. Wah! JK!

Gym-ing it in my Zobha Gear

Remember this post that I did long time ago asking you ladies to help me pick the color combo for my workout outfit? Well, I ended up just getting only the purple straight leg carpi and a more neutral color top.

I have only been to this gym 2x this month and feel terrible about it. I should go at least 2x a week and not 2x a month. LoL! Totally wasting money...

And please excuse the naked no makeup face! I normally go to the gym after work with my makeup on, but today I just woke up and decided to hit the gym with no makeup. Haha! Yes, I'm one of those girls who go to the gym with makeup. So sue me :P

Zobha Straight Leg Capri. Size 2. Available in many fun bright colors. I usually sweat a lot and this material is really thick and doesn't really show sweat stains. The fit is on the semi-looser side (compared to how normal leggings fit), I wished they were just a tad tighter. I know it's hard to tell. If you're my size or a bit bigger, the size 2 will definitely fit you.
Zobha Top. Size 2. (see similar here in lots of color options!) It's no longer available and I got it on sale for $20! It's definitely a steal because their stuff is expensive.

Ann Taylor Petite Fall Collection

I haven't been excited by Ann Taylor stuff lately, but I checked their website today and they have so much new stuff. I'm actually loving everything! I want every item below.

I love cardigans and I love this color. Must have this!
Petite Double-Ribbed Trim Cardigan

This sweater looks so cozy. I thinking this would be super cute with a long sleeve underneath or even layered over a form fitting dress!
Petite Shawl Collar Cardigan with Leather Buckle

This leather is super cute and it's so hard to find leather jackets in petite sizes (besides Aritzia, but their leather jackets never go on sale). I'd definitely consider getting this when AT has their 40% discount!
Petite Leather Quilted Jacket

I don't have any long sleeve dresses and I been wanting one for work. All my dresses are sleeveless or with short sleeves and I feel like that I have to wear a jacket or cardigan over them to make it work appropriate. This dress would look much better with a wide belt!
Petite Modern Croc Blouson 3/4 Sleeve Dress

This blouse (in wine) looks like my Aritzia blouse from the previous post, but this AT one is cheaper!
Petite Overlapping Placket Long Sleeve Blouse

I'm tired of pencils skirts and I'm liking this alternative! I see this skirt worn with tights and my black Stuart Weitzman 'Spectacle' Stretch Suede Boot (from this post).

Makeup I Love. Update on Lashes. Keep or Return?

I love highlighters, but I feel that they normally accentuate my fine lines & wrinklies. But I did finally find one that has such a pretty golden color and it doesn't make my fine lines & wrinkles look more obvious. This Mac Honour (frost) Powder Blush gives the face a nice glow without looking shiny or oily! See last pic -- I think you can see the shimmer/glow better!

I have extremely oily eyelids and every eye liner I have worn has ended up on the bottom of my eyes. I swear I have tried all the waterproof eyeliner in the market and nothing works for me, until now! Mac's Liquid Eyeliner isn't even waterproof, but for some reason it doesn't run at all. I wore it all day to work and then to the gym and no raccoon eyes at all. The firm tapered applicator also allows for you to draw really thin lines. I am extremely impressed with this product and definitely will re-purchase in the future!

I've also been obsessing over purple lip glosses. I am wearing Bobbi Brown's Lilac Sugar Shimmer lip gloss. I feel that it brightens the lips without adding too much color which I love.

For those of you who have asked for an update on the lash extensions, here they are below. I am actually really loving them still. The first couple of days was tough because I had to get used to not rubbing my eyes. I don't even notice that I even have them on anymore. A couple of fallen of lashes have fallen from both eyes, but nothing too significant where you can notice. My roommate saw me early in the morning this weekend and asked why I had on makeup and didn't realized it was just my lash extensions. So I do love that I look like I have on makeup all the time! Haha!

I bought this Hinge® Faux Fur Oversize Chubby Coat during the Nordstrom sale. I am wearing a size small here. I just checked the website and realized it comes in an extra small. Too bad it wasn't available when I picked it up at the store. It is a bit over-sized on me, but I don't think that part bothers me too much. I do love that the coat is super soft and very heavy so it would be great for the winter days. The issue I am having is that I think the coat looks kind of over the top.

What do you guys think? Is it too over the top?! I'm leaning towards return, but I also really love it. At the same time, I hate when people stare and I feel like this coat will get lots of stares.
