Road Trip: LA & Vegas!

My bf and I decided to take a road to LA and Vegas for the heck of it. I haven't been forever and thought it would be nice to visit friends. My bf has never been to Vegas ever. Can you believe that? LOL. During my college days, I used to go during the weekends since my school was pretty close by. Those party days are definitely over and this trip was definitely more calm and less rowdy.

I'm terrible at documenting vacation pics, but I did my best this time with my new ipad.
We were in LA for a day and stayed at a cute little boutique hotel in Beverly Hills called the Crescent. The staff was super nice, not pretentious and the rate per night was pretty decent too. Both of us got to meet up with our college friends. It's always nice to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while!
Although I been to LA countless amount of times, I have never been up to the Hollywood sign. For some reason, this took us forever to find. We couldn't find any other roads that could lead us close to the sign. Does anyone know if its possible to get next to the Hollywood sign?
Here are a few outfits pics from Vegas and LA.
Left: BR Outlet Shell (only $12) XXSP (similar)/ H&M Short 2(similar)/ AT Pumps Size 5
Middle: F21 Lace Dress Small (fits very small!)/ F21 Necklace (similar)/ AT Pumps Size 5
Right: Zara Blazer XS/ Loft Blouse XXSP (similar)/ H&M Shorts 2 (similar)/ Nine West Sandals (similar)
When I was in Vegas, I got a chance to meet up with Michelle from The Petite Fitting Room! She is as nice as she seems on her blog. Also so genuine and super fun to hang out with!
We went shopping of course! LOL! We stopped by the outlet mall and also an H&M. At H&M (lower right corner pic) we both tried on the floral tank and gray pencil skirt, but decided to pass. The armholes for the floral tank was quite big and I didn't like how long the tank was either. The skirt fit of the skirt was fine, but I was bothered by one back pocket and the vertical seams.
We met up later during the night for a couple of drinks in the Mirage (upper left pic). We also got a chance to play the slot machines and a few rounds of roulette. Roulette is my favorite because I don't know any other game. LOL!
I was craving some craw fish and decided to visit the Boiling Crab in Vegas. The food was very yummy, but if you are ever in the bay area you have to go try CrawDaddy. It's my personal preference, but CrawDaddy flavors their craw fish better and they also have better sausages too.

I had such a great time in both LA and Vegas!!
Have a great weekend everyone. :)

AT Review: Cap Sleeve Dress, Chelsea Cropped Pants & Perfect Pointy Pumps

Hi all! I just wanted to do a quick review on the following items that I purchased at Ann Taylor.
Seriously, I feel misled by the model on this dress. It looks so classy and nicely fitted on her. I am wearing a size XXSP, and it feels like a H&M 4 or maybe closer to 6. It makes me look very wide and so shapeless. On the 2nd photo, I pinned back all the excess material which definitely helps define the waist. The dress is semi-lined from the neck down to the chest. I definitely don't love the dress and decided to return!
Tory Burch Sally 2 Wedges. Size 5.5. (in other colors) I'd recommend sizing down 1/2 a size. They stretch out with wear.

Ann Taylor Chelsea Cropped Pants. Size 00P.  Color Roasted Pepper.
I really really wanted these pants to work out. I tried these on a couple of months ago in a white color which I felt was more fitted and didn't have such a huge waist gap. What I didn't like was that the back was kind of see through. So I decided to have the SA help track down a size 00P in another color. She said the only color available in my size was rope (a very light khaki). I got it and tried it on and it was very big compared to the white. When this fun roasted pepper color popped up on the site, I instantly fell in love with the color and decided to order again. I was hoping that it would fit better. Wishful thinking right? If you view the pictures below, you can see the fit issues. As much as I wanted these pants to work, I am sadly returning.
See Elle and Cher review the same pants in different colors.
Ann Taylor Petite Ruffle Collar Twill Shirt. Size 00P. Style #: 277313. I purchase this in store for $9.88.

I normally wear a size 5.5, but when I feel like most Ann Taylor shoes tend to run 1/2 size too big. I do really love these pumps. The patent leather and the shape of the pumps is quite beautiful.. The color is perfect and so is the fit. The foot-bed is nicely padded which makes it very comfortable to wear. The pointed toes really help elongate the legs too. The pumps also show a small amount of toe cleavage which I like. The heel height is about 3.25" which is not too high or low. They are very classic and I know I will get a lot of wear out of these shoes. I am happily keeping these!!

A great day!

I had a great day today! Not only am I on vacation, but so are my friends!! I got a chance to go to lunch with them and also enjoy a beautiful sunny afternoon in SF.
I also paid a visit to my auto body shop. Someone hit my new car last year causing my bumper shift out of place. It was also a hit and run and nobody left a note. RUDE! It was bugging me for the longest time, but I was too cheap to get it fix. If you live in SF, you know that once you get your bumper fix, somebody will hit it again in no time.
My mechanic removed the dent and put the bumper back into place. It made my car look great again and the best part was that he didn't even charge me. Gotta love FREE. I did offer to grab him a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka as a thank you. While I was at it, I also got myself and my bf a bottle of tequila. I'm going to make us so margaritas tonight. I don't think today can get any better. Well maybe...winning the lotto?  LOL! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Wednesday as much as I am.

Delicious lunch @ Outerland SF. It's a little hidden gem by the beach with yummy sandwiches and salads.

Red Zara Blazer

I stopped by Zara a week ago and found this blazer available in many fun colors! I loved this red color and don't have anything like this in my closet so I decided to pick it up.

If you view it on the model, the blazer is a bit more fitted and shorter in length. On me, the fit is more like a bf blazer which I don't mind. I think the shoulders are nicely fitted and the sleeves are doable when I roll them up. Also just an FYI, the red and the fuchsia color fit the smallest. All the other colors seem to run a bit bigger...odd?

Ladies, what do you think? Is the fit okay as is or would you prefer it to be more fitted?

Lovely Blouses - Under $10 each

I stopped by Ann Taylor this weekend and found both of these blouses on sales for $9.88 each!! That's cheaper than outlet pricing! I went to the AT outlet store a few weeks ago and felt like everything was still pretty pricey compared to the sale items at regular AT. If you're interested in either blouses, I'd definitely call customer service to see if they can find your size. I have listed style numbers below.
Ann Taylor Drape Neck Tiered Shell. Size XSP.  Style #: 276081
I almost didn't try on this shell because I normally wear a XXSP. I'm glad I did because the fit is pretty decent and the armholes are still small.
H&M Body Conscious Lace Skirt. Size 2. (similar but much more expensive version here)
F21 Red Belt. (similar here)
Pressely Pumps by MICHAEL Michael Kors. Size 5.5. TTS. (almost identical here)

Ann Taylor Petite Ruffle Collar Twill Shirt. Size 00P. Style #: 277313
This shirt is a feminine version of a collared button down shirt. It's more fun and flirty with the ruffle collar, but still very office appropriate. In terms of fit, it is still a tiny bit wide on the sides, but not terrible. The sleeves would look better on me if it was 1/2"-1" shorter. Overall, a steal for $9.88!
UO skirt. Size 0. (similar here)
No brand earrings. (similar here)
Tory Burch Pumps (old).

J. Crew Featherweight Cotton Cardigan

I stopped by J. Crew this weekend because I saw SPG blog about some awesome sales items. See her review here & here.

I ended up purchasing 3 Featherweight Cotton Cardigans -- the 2 colors below and one in black (not shown). They are on sale in store for only $29.99. These cardigans are very lightweight and great for the summer. I also love all the pretty colors that J. Crew has to offer.
Wearing size XXS.

I always wear out my cardigans pretty quickly and thought it was worth stocking up. Anyone have advice on how to keep cotton items like this looking new?

BR X Trina Turk Zazzy Zebra Sateen Skirt

Thanks so much to BR for gifting this Trina Turk Zazzy Zebra sateen skirt to me. I love the print and the color. The skirt is made of a nice thick cotton material with lining underneath. As you can see, this skirt super versatile and can be dressed up or down for different looks.
Aritzia Blazer. Size 0. (similar here)/ F21 Tank (similar here)/ Nine West "Metric" Wedge Sandals Size 5.5. (similar here)/ F21 Necklace (similar here)
H&M Denim Jacket. Size 2. (similar here)/ Gap Ribbed Tank. Size 0P./ AT Factory Cuff. (similar here)/Nine West "Metric" Wedge Sandals Size 5.5. (similar here)
Aritzia Blazer. (similar here)/ H&M Polka Dot Blouse (similar here)/ Ivanka Trump 'Indico' Pump. Size 5 (sized down 1/2 a size).
Loft Blouse. (similar here)/Michael Kors Berkley T-Strap Sandals. Size 5.5. TTS.

I am wearing a 00P and the waist is still a tad bigger than my liking. In all the pictures above, I do have the skirt clipped back so it sits higher on the waist. The skirt is so versatile, I think it is worth the money and time to have my tailor take in the waist for a better fit.
See Kelly from AN review the same skirt.

H&M Mint Blouse

I am currently loving this H&M Mint Blouse (in Size 2) (similar here & here)! Such a pretty color and goes with everything!
It is semi sheer and the fabric is very delicate. I already snagged it. :(
