Theory 'Shaylee - Regional' Dress (with alterations)

Is it just me or did Nordstrom photoshop the dress to be longer? The last time I checked, I remember the dress being super short. Even the reviewer who is 5'8" said that the dress is much longer on her than on the model.
See model from theory.com wear the same dress. It's super short and fitter on her!

I did have this dress altered. Sorry I don't have before pics. From what I remembered I had about 1/2" from the sides take in (from armpit down to the waist area). From hips and below, I had at least an inch from each side taken in. This is from memory, so don't take my word for it. LoL. When I tried on this dress, I had no intentions of buying it. Long story short, I gave into peer pressure. I'm not very good about saying no.

My thoughts: Even after alterations, I don't love the dress. I think skirt part of the dress can be taken in a little more. For a dress that costs $315 + $25 alterations + 9.75% tax , it should look amazing. I think for the steep price, the dress is a little lackluster.

It's a little expensive for H&M, but I do love the cropped style of the jacket. The faux leather feels quite nice and the jacket is also lined.

Recent Splurges

Theory 'Shaylee - Regional' Dress

This dress looks totally different on me than it does on the model. It's short and fitted on the model, but on me it's totally loose everywhere. I had the following taken in by Nordstrom: arm holes, sides of the torso, hips and also the length. The dress hits right at the knee, so I had them take about an inch off. Btw, Nordstrom only charged me $25 for alterations! What a deal compared to my tailor that I go to.

Chanel Precision Ultra Correction Line Repair Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream
I was looking for a good eye cream to prevent and get rid of fine lines around the eyes. The SA was raving about this, so I said fine I'll buy it. It better work!

I also got a cute cardigan from BR, but can't find it anywhere online. It must be really new or old. I got a size PXS and it fits surprisingly well. I will post pictures soon.

Back with H&M Ruffle Blouse

The weather was beautiful this past weekend and I was more than ecstatic to be able to wear shorts! I was on the verge of bumming it at the beach, but my bf wanted to watch the summer bowl instead. Booo!!

Anyway I have forgotten about this blouse until I saw Jean wear it. The last time I wore it was here which was awhile ago.
