H&M Fitted Tweed Blazer

A beautiful fall piece for only $19.95!

The blazer fit nice overall, but there are 2 issues. The blazer feels a tad snug when I button it up. I probably wouldn't be able to wear a thick sweater underneath. I tried on a size 4, but unfortunately the arms were too baggy. Another issue is the back of the arms. It puffs up and the fabric doesn't lay flat against the skin. I was going back and forth in the store about this but decided to get it in the end.

Ladies - what do you think about the 2 fit issues below? Does it bother you or can you forgo it due to the price?

Loft Pants Review

I purchased these Loft pants during friends and family with 40% discount. Generally, I lean towards the cropped pants because they tend to fit better for someone like me with a shorter inseam. But since fall is approaching and it gets quite chilly in SF, I wanted to get full length pants to cover my ankles. 

Loft Kate Straight Leg Pants in Bi-Stretch

Measurements: 28" Inseam & 13" Waist (measured across flat) 

What I like:  The color is really pretty and different. There is little waist gap. It is fitted throughout the legs. What I don't like: There is too much bunching around the knee area (front & back). If the inseam was an inch shorter, it might also drape better in the front?
Decision: I am returning these pants. As much as I like the color, I feel that it would be hard to incorporate them with my work wardrobe. I prefer to wear darker color pants for work.
 

Loft Marisa Trouser Leg Pants in Loft Superfine

Style #:286822 | Size: 00 P | Color: Heather Camel

Measurements:  28.5" inseam & 14" Waist (measured across flat) 

What I like:  The color is very basic and easy to pair with other items. The material is light weight which helps drape the legs nicely. The waist is a tad big, but a belt can fix that. The cut is very flattering and helps lengthen the legs.
What I don't like: From the thigh down, the pants are a bit baggy. I think they would look much better if the legs were slimmed down.
Decision: I am returning these pant because I have something similar that fits better. 

Loft Julie Boot Cut Pants in Bi-Stretch 

Style #:286826 | Size: 00 P | Color: Deep Cabernet

Measurements: 29" inseam & 14" waist (measured across flat)

What I like:  The color is very on trend for the fall. Not only is it a gorgeous color, it's also very slimming for the legs.
What I don't like: The waist is huge! Although the waist measures 14" (measured across flat), it sits higher on the waist compared to the Marisa trousers (pictured above). There is also a lot of bunching below the butt and in the thigh area. These pants are not flattering on my tush either.
Decision: I am returning these! They fit the largest compared to the 2 pants mentioned above. I'd recommend a size 00P to someone who is a size 4-6 at H&M.

Incorporating Burgundy Into My Closet

Hi everyone!! I feel like it's been awhile.

I been super busy traveling for work and haven't had a chance to update or catch up on other blogs. I was in Atlanta and the weather was hot and humid. Believe or not, I quite enjoyed it. I rarely get to experience continuous warm weather. It was warm enough to go to the pool during the evenings. Oh how I will miss that. One of these days, I will pack my stuff and move to somewhere tropical and warm year round.

I picked up this H&M sheath dress before I left for Atlanta. I am wearing a size 2. This dress fits very similar to the Asos Tailored Pencil Dress. It's super flattering and the length is perfect for someone my height. 

Ladies, what do you think about the burgundy trend? Will you be incorporating this color into your wardrobe?

Everyone Has A Vice?

If you noticed the more frequent posting lately, its because I've been shopping up a storm. It's not a good thing! Normally if I buy an item here and there, then it's totally fine. When I purchase too much and too frequently, I feel like it builds the momentum of more shopping! It's like I have opened Pandora's box and I can't stop shopping. Not sure if this is making any sense?

Although I save a good portion of my income, have a retirement plan and no debt, I still feel very guilty about my spending habits. I reason with myself that everyone has a vice. Some people like to smoke, drink, gamble and  then you have me, who likes to buy stuff. I can have a good time shopping at target for bathroom supplies. Seriously...

I was going through my pictures and forgot to post this Frenchi sweater  (XS) purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. It was on sale for $29! I apologize for not alerting you ladies sooner because it is back to full price now. I don't know if I would pay full price. LOL.

Anyway, misery loves company so I'm going to encourage you to shop along with me. Okay? 

Ann Taylor F&F and Refined Cropped Pants

I bought these AT Refined Cropped Pants (wearing 00P) during their BOGO sale and am very happy with the purchase.They are really very flattering and drapes nicely against the legs. I wore these pants for an 8 hour work day and barely noticed any wrinkling when I took them off.

The waist is still big on me (see picture below). The tabs do help with tightening the waist area, but I did noticed that they would loosen up through out the course of the day. I'd have to tighten it back up again which was a pain in the butt. 

Jean suggested that I tuck the ends of the tab in so they don't slip. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm crossing my fingers it work. If not, I will have to take in the waist. See Jean review the same pants in red here.

Weekend Outfit & Ivanka Trump 'Abello' Flat

If you are a long time reader, you've probably noticed that I never wear flats! I been wearing heels for so long that it's second nature to me. Heels are also more comfortable than wearing flats sometimes. I know it sounds strange, but it's true.

Every now and then, a pair of flats will catch my eyes. When I saw these Ivanka Trump 'Abello' Flat at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I instantly fell in love. I'm a sucker for a cute bow and pointy toes!

 I am wearing a size 5. In terms of sizing, I had to size down 1/2 size. I have another pair of Ivanka Trump heels and noticed that they run 1/2 size too big as well. These flats are very comfortable to wear and are so easy to pair with casual or work outfits. I have worn them almost everyday since I have bought them a week ago. I'd have to say the pictures don't do these flats justice. They are much cuter in person.

These Ivanka Trump 'Abello' Flat also comes in a black leather, teal suede and burgundy suede. I'd love to own them in every color!! They are just so beautiful and versatile. It's definitely going to be a staple in my closet. If you want to own a pair, purchase them before 8/6 because prices are going back up when the Anniversary Sale ends.
