Etsy Shop + Chevron Skirt

Hi everyone! I have big news for you today! After much encouragement from friends and fellow readers, I have finally opened up my own etsy shop. You can purchase this flared chevron skirt that's made custom to your size and desired length. I love pockets and added that to the hips with stripes matching the skirt so it looks almost hidden. It has an invisible zipper at center back and blind hem at the bottom. The skirt can be purchased lined or unlined. I have enough fabric to make another skirt in the exact 1" stripe fabric shown below. The other available option are 1.5" stripe fabric in black + white or other colors (email me for other color choices).  I hope you like this skirt and please let me know if you have any questions!

  5. It's great that you decided to share your custom products. I think they are unique. However, regardless of how much I love the skirt, it's a bit out of my price range. I might need to wait for some of the mainstream retailers to have their major sales and hope to get something similar.

    1. I've been lucky to see many of Ping's handmade garments in person, and it's evident how much time and care she puts into the quality and fit, matching up the lines and prints, lining up pockets, and just using proper technique. For a made-to-measure hand-sewn item (pattern, length, everything needs to be adjusted for each size), plus the time needed to provide customer service, I thought the price was very reasonable. Handmade, custom fit items are not for everyone's tastes or budget, but I'm happy that Ping is making her passion available to those who may be interested.

    2. You know what? It's a custom made item so I think Ping can price it however high or low she wants. After all, no other item is the same. You really can't put a value on the time and effort of putting such craft/item together. If the price is too high for some, then move on already.

    3. People that are complaining have no idea how much time it takes to sew and make things to perfection. This is not China and Ping is not running a sweat shop. If you want a cheaply made garment, go to Forever 21. And like Carried said, if the price is too high, move on!

    4. Just like how you guys are entitled to your opinion that "Custom item" can be charged $125, Anonymous is also free to comment that charging $125 for a skirt is pricey... its only fair

  9. For $125 i think I'd rather buy a branded item, despite custom service et al... sorry, no offense.

  10. Ping, your skirt is merely one word: perfect. I wish I can afford to pay that price but I've other commitment to spend on. Anyway, Congrats for opening your new shop! I'm sending you the best wishes all the way from Malaysia! Love ya! :-)
