Nordstrom Miss Sixty Jacket, Corso Como Shoes and JCREW Fall Wants

Hey Ladies-- I haven't been able blog because my digicam broke! I'm so annoyed. I have a Sony Cybershot and I bought it because I assumed Sony made quality products. I had the digicam since May so I haven't gotten that much use out of it. Anyway, I have to send it back to Sony and have them fix it.

I was able to snap these photos before my camera KO.

Coats by Miss Sixty at ShopStyle

I love this model. Everything looks so nice on her. She suckered me into buying this jacket. She also models for FP & Guess, I think I buy everything she wears! I am so easily influenced.
Here I am in same coat. Not the same at all...not even close.

Shoulder: It's padded. Not loving that. Makes me look like a football player.
Sleeves: Too long and loose.
Waist: I'd prefer a more fitted look.

I think the zippers, large buttons, over sized collars and many details on the jacket overwhelmed my body.

Verdict: Definitely returning the jacket asap!

Sandals by Corso Como at ShopStyle

I ordered these Corso Como from Piperlime.com awhile ago. Sorry its taken me this long to review. I just haven't had too many chances to wear them.

I wore them once for a couple of hours and omg it was not comfy! The front of the shoes were narrow and after a couple of hours of wear it was definitely squeezing my toes to the point where I had to change to another pair of shoe. Most shoes tend to run big on me, but not these.

Another thing that annoyed me was the cushion. There was so much of it that every time I took a step, it cause the cushion bed to make squishy farty sounds...ummmm not cute. The doubled straps was also a pain when putting on and taking off the shoes.

I took these to Cabo with me thinking I'd wear them andt stretch them out, but I ended up not wearing them. I can't imagine wanting to wear these during the fall, so I am not keeping these.

Verdict: RETURN!

JCREW Fall Wants

I want this jacket in the soft taupe color. Comes in size 0P & it is $258. It's been at least 10 years since I have bought a jacket from JCrew. Does the 0P run small, true or big? Let me know if you have had experience with their coats.

Can't have enough boots. I want these in the fossil grey color. It comes in 5.5 and runs for $350.

I don't follow JCREW that closely, should I buy these items before they run out of sizes or should I wait for a coupon or for it to go on sale. Dilemma -- help!!

How to: Fish Tail & Mango With Lime/Chili/Salt

You guys probably know by now that I love Free People. I probably check out their website every other day and its unfortunate that they don't have a store in the SF. The closes location is about 40 mins away! I been seeing all the models on their site with this fishtail braid and decided to give it a try. I thought this was a cute alternative to the regular braids. Plus it's also super easy and took me 2 mins to achieve.

How To:
1. Pull hair to the nape of the neck and divide hair into 2 sections.
2. Pull a strand of hair from the right section and place it into the left section.
3. Pull a strand of hair from the left section and place it into the right section.
4. Repeat steps #2-3.
FP did a video -- maybe easier to understand with some visuals.

Price: $98

When I was in Mexico, there were fruit carts everywhere. When I'm in the states, all I eat is greasy junk food. I wished fresh fruits were more readily available..besides at the grocery market. The fruit vendors would sell mangoes on a stick and they would add salt/chili mix with lime juice. The combination sounds strange, but it's so delicious! I'm also a big fan of unripe mangoes with fish sauce & sugar. Heehee. I know...I like gross sounding food.

Step 1: Mix together chili powder and salt.
I like it more spicy so I did a 60% chili powder and 40% salt mix.

Step 2: Squeeze fresh lime onto a mango

Step 3: Sprinkle chili powder/salt mix onto mango

Step 4: Enjoy!

END of Cabo

I'm sad to be home right now. Cabo was so much fun, the people were so friendly, the food was amazing, the beaches had the most awesome sand and crystal clear water & the weather was perfect! And I come home to the cold & fog...so depressing. I guess I can reminisce with these pictures.

Below are pictures from dinners & etc...

Practicing my masterpiece "Mary had a little lamb"...
Marrakesh Dress By Free People (I've worn on previous post)
Price: $98
Size: XS
The material is light weight & also wrinkle free. Great for traveling and wearing in warm weather.

At the infamous restaurant "Mi Casa". Every local raved about it...so we had to pay a visit.

I must say I had a misconception about Mexican food. I thought it was going to have to eat greasy quesadillas and burritos all week, but that was definitely not the case. Everything is pretty fresh and there's a ton of seafood.

At Mi Casa, we met Takito the clown. He made boner & flower balloon hats for group of people next to us.

I was thinking no tip for you if you make us boner hats!

On my way to dinner at "La Fonda". This pic is taken from our hotel room...I already miss the ocean view from the balcony & the sound of the crashing waves when I sleep at night.

Dress from H&M
Size 2

These guys at La Fonda were serenading every table. They didn't ask, they would just come up to your table and sing. It was all types of cheesy 50's American love songs. I was thinking, if you're gonna come over and sing to us, can you at least give me some Justin Timberlake...but no such luck. These guys don't understand English...they just sing it. lol.

Here's the last 2 photos I took before leaving the hotel.
Bye Bye Cabo.

Lover's Beach & Arch: Day 3 & 4

We decided to do a little exploring and took a taxi boat to Lover's Beach and Arch. The locals warn that the caves are dangerous..."you go in with two people and you end up coming out with 3 people..." Haha!

The beach borders between the Cortez Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It's about a 10 minute ride from our hotel to this beautiful secluded beach -- definitely worth the short ride! We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back another day.

I wanted to dock and take a pictures by the arch, but the driver said the water is too dangerous. It's only once every 3-4 years when the water is calm enough for them to let people onto this part of beach.

*Btw -- do you like our stylish life jackets? I believe its designer.

So finally here at...

Here he goes again with the shell searching. He said they're for my earrings. I said...ummmm I'm not too crafty once again and he goes "oh don't worry...Sophia can make them for you." LOL. Thanks Sophia!

Oh my ... look at those waves!

I think I'm just going to enjoy the view instead.

This is what happens when you go into the water. Can you spot the bf's hand? Hmmm....I think he might be drowning. Maybe I should drop the camera & help him. heehee

Cave Exploring!

And here are some pretty fishes-- the water is so clear you can see the fishes when they come near the surface.

Exploring: Day #2

Good Morning Cabo

Let start the day @ Nikki Beach

Took 2 steps away from the pool and ended here..

Doggies love the beach too!

Walking into town for some lunch

Oh my that's a big magarita, I think I'm gonna take a nap after this one. And yes that is the bf/photog (who is very shy & hates pics). I always have to distract him with a beer to take his pics.

I passed out by the cabana and let the bf do his thing.

During his swim he spotted a seal, fishes & these shells. He thought I can make these into a necklace....considering how un-crafty I am... not sure if that is possible.
