Incorporating Burgundy Into My Closet

Hi everyone!! I feel like it's been awhile.
I been super busy traveling for work and haven't had a chance to update or catch up on other blogs. I was in Atlanta and the weather was hot and humid. Believe or not, I quite enjoyed it. I rarely get to experience continuous warm weather. It was warm enough to go to the pool during the evenings. Oh how I will miss that. One of these days, I will pack my stuff and move to somewhere tropical and warm year round.

I picked up this H&M sheath dress before I left for Atlanta. I am wearing a size 2. This dress fits very similar to the Asos Tailored Pencil Dress. It's super flattering and the length is perfect for someone my height.

Ladies, what do you think about the burgundy trend? Will you be incorporating this color into your wardrobe?

  7. for a moment there, w/the black bf cardi, it looked like a 2 tone colorblock dress! black is slimming! This may inspire me to try mine on again and see if I can create some outfits and then I'll make my decision...

btw, not humid here, but seriously dying of heat. It was 101 in Temecula.

  10. Very inventive and stylish combos for now and transitioning into fall. My question is: for the outfit in which you appear to have a shirt/blouse worn under the sheath, how do you minimize the outline of the garment underneath since you only have a thin belt? Thanks for sharing!

    1. try a thin silk or polyester shirt underneath

  15. You look fantastic in this dress and this is SO timely! I was just trying a burgundy blazer and could not, for the life of me, think of any non-neutral pairings. Thank you for all of the options! My favorites are the leopard and the cream colored blazer look!
