Bebe Skinny Pant 00 Review and Make-Up Tips

Wearing:
H&M (Divided) Blouse. Size 2. (similar here & here)
Necklace from BP (Nordstrom). Recent purchase.
Dooney and Bourke Clutch. (very similar here)
Vince Camuto Amber Peep-Toe Bootie. Size 5.5. (the close-toed version here)

Bebe Stretch Skinny Pant. Size 00. $109. I got this 20% off original price during black Friday.
Description from bebe.com
Whisper ribbing gives this skinny pant texture, and flat front and back slip pockets keep it sleek. Beltable loops. Front seam stitching accents.
Rise: 8". Inseam: 29". Leg opening: 10".
Viscose, nylon, spandex.
Dry clean.

For reference: my waist is 23" & my hips are 34"

I love everything about these pants. They are nicely fitted throughout the legs and are so comfortable to wear. The only con is that the waist is a little big, but can be easily fixed with a belt. These pants can accommodate someone with a 24" waist comfortably. I measured the inseam and they are 29" long. The length is perfect for my short legs and I also like that there is a little scrunch on the bottom.

If you're not interested in makeup, you can skip this portion below.

For reference: I have oily skin.

Wearing on face:
Bobbi Brown Corrector $22.00. Color light bisque. Used as a concealer under the eyes.
Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. $45.00. Color Warm Beige #3.5.
Bobbi Brown Beach Shimmer Brick $38.00. used as a highlighter. applied generously all over cheeks and cheek bone area. you can also used the shimmer brick as eye shadows.
Bobbi Brown Blush $22.00. Color slopes. applied on apples of the cheeks.

On Eyes:
Bobbi Brown Bone Shadow. $20.00. Color bone. Used as a base for all over the eyes.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow $20.00. Color shell. Used to highlight the brow bone.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow $20.00. Color fawn. Used in the crease area.
Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow $20.00. Color espresso. Used in the lower life area. If you have large eyelids, used a softer color or else it'll end up looking too harsh/dramatic.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner $21.00. Wearing color black. For a softer look, try the espresso color instead.

Filling in the brows:
For those of you who have black hair, I'd avoid anything that is dark grey or black in the brow area...unless you like a very STRONG brow look.
I like a softer brow and a stronger arch so I use 2 colors. I can definitely get away with using either one of these 2 colors below.
Mac Eye Shadow. $19.50. Color espresso. used to fill in entire brow area.
Mac Eye Shadow. $19.50. Color brun. Used from the arch to the tip of the brow to give more definition.
If you're thinking using either these colors, brun (is a darker color than espresso) is probably better for someone with dark brown/black hair.

I am also wearing some random Asian brand falsies and a clear lip gloss.

  2. Ping! You look gorgeous! Love it all!

That is where I need to go...bebe! Now that I am out of work clothing mode, I won't feel guilty browsing through that store!

You are such a bobbi brown girl! Have been wanting to try that brand...but I should stay away from the make-up counter for awhile, just made a big purchase at Laura Mercier.

  3. Wow, those are some sexy pants! Really like the slimming look! I did buy a pair of H&M black pants that are of a similar style but your Bebe ones look a lot more classic.
THANK you for the makeup part! Love, love makeup! You seem to really like Bobbi Brown. =0D I have their gel eyeliner and it's the best. I think I might try their concealer since it has gotten a lot of reviews.
I don't really do my brows but I should since they are really sparse. Thanks for the tip though and a nice money saver to use eyeshadow instead of something like Anastasia brow wiz (which can be expensive).

  6. Ping, you sure is a big Bobbi Brown fan and I enjoy reading your makeup tips. Your skin looks glowing. I have always had trouble drawing my brows, they are the weakest spot on my face probably because I barely have them. As always, cute and chic outfit.

  7. Thanks for the brow tips! I never thought of using two colors on brows before... I feel like this should have occurred to me earlier since my brow powder palette has two colors in it. :x

  10. Michelle-- i haven't been to bebe in awhile and glad i did. they have some cute work clothes if you are willing to dig in between all the clubbing clothes. lol

Hannah/Nelah-- Glad you guys found the tips helpful. I used to be a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown and that is why I have so much Bobbi stuff...heehee.

  11. This blouse is perfection on you! I have been looking for a similar one as I tend to go for the body fitting or the button down ones but this is so pretty and romantic!

  12. Love the outfit on you and thanks for the makeup tips! I've always had brow issues (too short) - what is a good way to lengthen the brow while still looking natural and good (like yours)?

  13. Aha I think wallbounce on twitter shared those pants and a bunch of us chattered about how 29" inseam is too long for our short legs. Totally forgot about how extra length on skinnies makes for nice scrunch! Those fit you quite well and it looks like you'll be getting wear outta them for work and weekend! And sigh, I want those booties in the closed toe version but haven't spent over $100 on shoes in so long...

  14. 20 York Street-- the blouse was a very recent purchase, if you live near a H&M i'd definitely check it out. it comes in this color and a black one. it is also pretty decently priced at $24!

anon & i love fashion blogs! -- thanks so much!

sewpetite-- i'd consider using a powder and a slanted brush to fill in the brows...it tends to look more natural than a pencil. i think you should stop by a makeup counter and have an artist apply it on you before committing to anything particular product/color. they can also teach you the proper application if you're unsure.

jean--i love these skinnies and wished they came in another color! i'm sure those booties will go on sale if you wait a bit.

  16. love the beautiful lighting, ping! you're also amazing at using highlighter for a nice glow

  17. I used to use a light charcoal grey on my brows (very lightly), but now use sort of a taupey color because I think it looks more natural. I know a lot of Asians like to use brown, but I find that it actually stands out too much on me since I have naturally dark black hair & brows. Btw you have such a teeny waist to hip ratio! No wonder clothes look so good on you :)
